1. Definitions

“Staff” refers to anyone working for or on behalf of DRAMAHUBSUSSEX, including volunteers and helpers.

2. Agreement

By paying fees, you agree to abide by DRAMAHUBSUSSEX’s Terms of Service and all school policies and codes of conduct.

3. Fees and Payments

3.1 All group class fees are payable monthly via Direct Debit to DRAMAHUBSUSSEX only.
3.2 Cheques must be made payable to Courtney Troullos and include a £1.50 processing fee.
3.3 Bank transfer details:

  Please include the student’s full name as the payment reference.
  3.4 Cash payments must be placed in a clearly labelled envelope with the student’s name and class details.
  3.5 Teachers and other unauthorised persons are not permitted to accept payments. Payments made to unauthorised persons will not be accepted by DRAMAHUBSUSSEX.
  3.6 Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except where otherwise stated.
  3.7 Taster session fees are payable in cash at the session.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 One-to-one lessons require at least 48 hours’ cancellation notice; lessons cancelled within 48 hours are chargeable in full.
4.2 All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
4.3 Show Makers participants must commit to all rehearsals and the performance date.
4.4 A full list of fees is available in the Timetable and Fees sheet.

5. Notice Period

5.1 A minimum of one calendar month’s written notice is required to discontinue or change classes, including private and one-to-one lessons.
5.2 Immediate discontinuation without notice may incur fees for the following month.
5.3 Fees remain payable in full regardless of attendance.

6. Late Payments and Charges

6.1 Payments returned or declined by the bank will incur a £10 administration charge.
6.2 Late payments will incur a £10 administration fee plus 5% interest per week.
6.3 Continued non-payment may result in legal action.

7. One-to-One and Private Lessons

7.1 Private lesson fees must be paid in full at the time of the lesson.
7.2 Cancellation of private lessons requires 48 hours’ notice or the full fee will be charged.
7.3 A parent or guardian must be present during all one-to-one lessons.

8. Exam Coaching

8.1 Entry to examinations is at the director’s discretion.
8.2 Examination coaching fees include examiners’ fees, entry fees, costume costs, pianist fees, and teacher wages, which are payable by the parent or guardian.
8.3 Fees for exam coaching are payable in full even if the pupil withdraws after coaching has commenced.
8.4 Examinations are optional.

9. Attendance and Behaviour

9.1 Students must attend all scheduled sessions.
9.2 Students must adhere to the uniform policy, detailed on the website.
9.3 Jewellery and chewing gum are prohibited during classes.
9.4 Students must behave respectfully; any damage caused to property or equipment will be charged to the parent or guardian.

10. Medical and First Aid

10.1 Parents/guardians consent to DRAMAHUBSUSSEX staff administering first aid or emergency care as necessary.
10.2 In emergencies, the child may be taken to a medical facility by paramedics without prior parental contact. Parents/guardians are responsible for all related expenses.
10.3 Students are supervised at all times while on premises. Students may not leave without a parent or guardian’s permission.
10.4 For students aged 16 or under, written permission (email or letter) must be provided for unaccompanied departure.
10.5 Parents/guardians are responsible for their child after class ends. Late pickups may incur additional charges.

11. Photos and Videos

11.1 Parents/guardians consent to the use of photos and videos of their child by DRAMAHUBSUSSEX for promotional and media purposes without payment.

12. Code of Conduct

12.1 Students must follow the school’s uniform policy and wear formal uniform for performances.
12.2 Hair must be neatly tied back where applicable.
12.3 Damage to property, costumes, or equipment caused by a student will be charged to the parent/guardian.

13. Changes to Programmes

13.1 DRAMAHUBSUSSEX reserves the right to alter programmes, schedules, and teaching staff without prior notice.

14. Data Protection

14.1 Personal data is collected and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
14.2 Parents/guardians must notify DRAMAHUBSUSSEX of any changes to contact details.

15. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

15.1 DRAMAHUBSUSSEX may update these terms at any time.
15.2 Updated terms will be published on the website and communicated via email.

16. Agreement

16.1 Parents/guardians must sign acceptance of these terms for each student prior to the start of the academic year. Scanned copies are accepted.

17. Other Terms

17.1 Parents/guardians are not permitted to observe classes unless invited for a watching week.

18. Intellectual Property and Product Use

18.1 All digital materials, lesson plans, worksheets, scripts, printables, videos, branding, and associated content created by or for DRAMAHUBSUSSEX are protected under copyright law and remain the intellectual property of DRAMAHUBSUSSEX.
18.2 Purchase of materials or subscription access grants a limited, non-transferable license for personal use only by the individual or family who made the purchase, or the organisation explicitly licensed.
18.3 Redistribution, reproduction, resale, sharing (digitally or physically), uploading to any platform, or commercial use of any DRAMAHUBSUSSEX resources without express written consent is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
18.4 DRAMAHUBSUSSEX merchandise (e.g., uniforms, props, printed workbooks, kits) may not be copied, resold, or reproduced in any form.
18.5 Anyone found to be in breach of these terms may have access revoked without refund and may face legal action to recover damages.
